Hardy UK launches Italian branch

Hardy UK, a supplier of shaving and fleshing blades to the tanning industry, has announced the launch of its new Italian branch, Hardy Italy Srl, at the SIMAC Tanning Tech Show. The facility, located in Santa Croce, officially opened in early August and aims to enhance service levels for tanneries in the region.

Rob Andrews, Commercial Director for Hardy UK, told Leatherbiz that the new facility will streamline operations for local customers and explore opportunities for improved shipping logistics to other regions. He highlighted the challenges the company has faced with long shipping times, particularly noting that deliveries to India have taken up to four months in some instances.

With the opening of Hardy Italy, the company plans to increase efficiency and better serve its growing customer base across Europe and beyond.
