Italprogetti debuts Injection Drum in Milan.
Pisa-based tanning machinery developer Italprogetti showcased its new Injection Drum at the Simac Tanning Tech show in Milan.
This prototype features advanced milling mechanics for efficient skin treatment, preheating before steam injection to avoid condensation and ensure uniform atomisation.
Internal cameras monitors and adjusts the drum’s rotation speed to maintain optimal skin positioning. The drum reduces water usage by up to 85% with its steam-based system and includes automatic dosing tanks for precise chemical mixing, setting a new standard in leather treatment, according to the manufacturers.
The company also unveiled and new brand image, as seen on the prototype drum (pictured), with new branding being rolled out across its range in the near future.
