The International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies (IULTCS) and the IUR Commission, led by Dr. Volker Rabe, have launched the 2025 IULTCS Young Scientist Grant Programme.

The initiative aims to support young researchers under 35 working in leather science and technology, with grants recognising outstanding achievements in three categories: Basic Leather Research, Sustainability/Environmental Innovation, and Leather Machinery/Equipment Development.

Winners will receive grants ranging from €1,000 to €1,500, sponsored by industry leaders such as Tyson Leather, Leather Naturally, and Italprogetti.

The application deadline is November 30, 2024.
