Experts publish new book on leather science
Dr Luis Zugno, from Buckman, and Dr Kalarical Janardhanan Sreeram, Director at CSIR, have announced the release of their new book, Emerging Trends in Leather Science and Technology.
Now available for purchase, the book is designed as a key resource for professionals in the leather industry and other stakeholders interested in the field.
The book explores the challenges and opportunities in leather manufacturing, product development, and environmental management. It also highlights the role of leather production as a viable option for policymakers to consider in promoting economic development. Additionally, it features case studies from countries such as India, Ethiopia, Kenya, Vietnam, Croatia, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Germany, offering a global perspective on the industry.
In a statement, the authors expressed their gratitude to the contributors, emphasising that their dedication and expertise were crucial to bringing the project to fruition.
