ACLE opens in Shanghai
The 2024 edition of the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) opened in Shanghai on September 3.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, president of the China Leather Industry Association, Li Yuzhong, said exhibitors had taken up a total of 92,000 square-metres of space at the event, with domestic companies occupying 75%.
He said the Chinese leather industry had experienced a good first half of 2024, with revenues increasing by 5.2% year on year. “In spite of obvious challenges, the leather sector is showing significant promise,” he said.
Event director followed this up by saying ACLE provided a platform for showcasing the whole leather manufacturing process from end to end. In addition she said the event was an important international encounter. “It opens doors for knowledge exchanges between east and west,” she said.
