The Real Leather Stay Different (RLSD) International Student Design Competition is approaching its deadline for entries on June 30. Participants are required to design a single item inspired by leather, which can be apparel, footwear, or accessories.

The competition mandates that submissions consist of at least 50% cattle hide leather, with the remaining materials being natural or organic wherever possible. The use of fur and exotic skins is prohibited, and plastics are allowed only when no natural alternatives are available.

Designs should highlight one or more aspects of leather, such as its beauty, versatility, strength, and durability.
