On Sweden’s National Day, June 6th, Kero Leather, a member of Swedish Tanners and COTANCE, welcomed His Majesty King Carl Gustaf and Her Majesty Queen Silvia to their tannery in Sattajärvi.

The royal couple toured the local leather museum and learned about the 95-year family legacy from owners Emma and Tomas Kero. They also explored the leather tanning process.

“We are very proud and honoured by this wonderful visit" said Tomas Kero.

COTANCE, in a social media post regarding the visit noted the increasing royal and public interest in traditional crafts and industries.
