Swiss speciality chemicals producer Archroma has been honoured with an industry award for a leather industry product.

The honour recognises Archroma's Avicuero system, developed in collaboration with Dr Leather Ltd and made accessible through a partnership with leather chemicals company Trumpler and incorporated into its DyTan system.

Avicuero seeks to address environmental concerns by offering a chrome and metal-free method, using innovative molecules Black SL and TR22. This system reduces CO2 emissions and energy consumption, while eliminating the pickling process and reducing salt usage.
