New president for Alliance France Cuir
Alliance France Cuir, the main representative body of the French leather industry, has announced Christophe Dehard as its president for the next three years. Mr Dehard was elected at the organisation’s annual general meeting on June 20.
Christophe Dehard succeeds the long-serving Frank Boehly in the role. Mr Boehly was president of Alliance France Cuir and its predecessor, the Conseil National du Cuir, since 2014.
Mr Dehard is head of by-product upcycling at meat processing group SVA Jean Rozé. This group processed more than 230,000 head of cattle, 68,200 calves and almost 250,000 lambs in 2023. Since 2018, Christophe Dehard has also been president of the French Federation of Hides and Skins.
He said: “I am very proud to take over the presidency of Alliance France Cuir and become the spokesperson of the 21 federations that make up our confederation. Our ambition is to promote, in France and abroad, a French leather industry that is world class and sustainable.”
