Toronto-based supplier of finished leather for furniture CTL Leathers has become a Garrett Leather company.

Based just across the border in Buffalo, New York, Garrett Leather said it viewed the deal as an important step in its efforts to become “the premier destination for upholstery leather solutions”.

CTL sources finished leather from partner tanneries in Europe, Asia and South America. It stocks 35 leather lines in more than 1,000 colours. It also offers furniture manufacturers other components, including legs, bases and mechanisms.

Company president, Cristina Gabbrielli, said that joining forces with the US company would allow CTL “to leverage synergies and further elevate the level of service and support we provide to our valued clients”. She said the two companies shared commitment to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

For its part, Garrett Leather also supplies leather to upholsterers and manufacturers, and  has customers in aircraft, automotive, yachts, commercial and interior design markets too.
Garrett Leather president, Max Brown, said: “By combining our resources and expertise, we will be better positioned to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
