Royal Smit & Zoon’s technical service manager for the Americas, Armando Escobedo, has been elected president of AQTCL, Mexico’s national leather chemists’ and technologists’ association. He replaces José Luis Rico Tapia in the role.

Based in León, Guanajuato, Armando Escobedo, joined Royal Smit & Zoon in 2022 after a long career in the leather chemicals sector. In previous roles, he worked for BASF in China and for Stahl in Germany.
