Worldly introduces new sustainability tool

21/05/2024
Worldly, a sustainability data platform for the consumer goods and apparel sectors, and previously known as the Higg Index, has introduced the Facility Data Manager (FDM) to enhance decarbonisation tracking and regulatory compliance in the apparel and footwear industry. With the emergence of global regulations such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), FDM provides footwear brands with timely data on energy, water, and waste.

Aligned with the Higg Facility Environmental Module (FEM), FDM enables footwear manufacturing facilities to consistently share impact data with brand partners. The tool is said to simplify reporting processes and encourage collaboration, providing brands with improved insights and transparency into their supply chains.

According to Scott Raskin, CEO of Worldly, the Facility Data Manager aims to improve tracking of environmental and labour targets while assisting companies in meeting evolving regulations.

With over 350 brands and 40,000 facilities utilising the Higg Index on the Worldly platform, FDM is claimed to be poised to drive substantial sustainability enhancements in the associated industries using the platform.
