One of the most prominent leather manufacturers in the Barcelona Leather Cluster in Catalonia, Curtidos Badia, has signed a co-operation agreement with a local employment and training organisation, Fundació UEA.

Based in Igualada, Fundació UEA works to build links between local people, especially young people and those not in paid work, and the business community.

Curtidos Badia said its aim was “to keep creating opportunities for young people” and that it was committed to increasing understanding among local people of “the business reality” of Igualada.

It said it also wanted to help prepare local people for the world of work.
