The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) has launched a new platform called CITES-Lex to help interested parties “navigate the complexities of international trade”.

It provides access to national catalogues and legislative policies on all aspects of trade in the species listed in the CITES appendices. This includes detailed information about trade in hides and skins.

In total, CITES has 183 signatories that aim to make sure international trade does not threaten the survival of species.
