Danish furniture group Fredericia has appointed a new chief executive, with Rasmus Graversen taking up the role.

Mr Graversen represents the third generation of the family that owns the company, which markets chairs and sofas designed by some of the biggest names in Nordic furniture, including Børge Mogensen, Hans Wegner, Cecilie Manz, Space Copenhagen and Barber Osgerby.

He has held various roles in the company already, most recently as chief commercial officer. 

Fredericia was founded in 1911 and the Graversen family has run it since 1955, when Andreas Graversen began a collaboration with designer Børge Mogensen.
