Chinese leather company inks Bangladesh deal
Chinese company Song Shin Leather (BD) Co. Limited recently announced that it will be investing $6 million to set up a leather processing company in the Cumilla Export Processing Zone (EPZ), Bangladesh. 

The company will produce 8 million square feet of finished cow and buffalo leather annually and create job opportunities for 100 Bangladeshi nationals.

The agreement was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Song Shin Leather (BD) Co. Limited at the BEPZA Complex, Dhaka on March 27. The signing ceremony was attended by BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman.

This investment is expected to provide a significant boost to the local economy and create employment opportunities for the people of Bangladesh. The move is also seen as a positive step towards strengthening the economic ties between Bangladesh and China.
