IULTCS keeps new vice-president in the loop for Lyon
Past-president of the International Union of Leather Technologists’ and Chemists’ Societies (IULTCS), Jean-Pierre Gualino, recently travelled to Palmerston North in New Zealand to extend a personal welcome to the organisation’s new vice-president, Geoff Holmes.
Director of New Zealand’s Leather and Shoe Research Association (LASRA), Mr Holmes took up the role of IULTCS vice-president at the start of 2024. He will go on to become president in 2026.
His work to support current IULTCS president, Dr Joan Carles Castell of Proviera, will include helping with preparations for the XXXVIII IULTCS Congress, which will take place in Lyon in 2025.
As chairman of the organising committee for the congress, Jean-Pierre Gualino was well placed to use their recent meeting to bring the new vice-president up to speed with preparations for the event.
