RLSD launches fourth international student design competition
The Real Leather. Stay Different (RLSD) International Student Design Competition is now accepting entries from designers who are interested in promoting sustainable leather use in fashion and challenging fast fashion.
Participants can compete in three categories: clothing, footwear, or accessories. The competition has received thousands of entries from hundreds of colleges globally and has opened up career opportunities for past winners.
The Leather & Hide Council of America (L&HCA) has partnered with a number of organisations, including London Fashion Week, Arts Thread, Leather UK, Italian Fashion Association, Africa Leather and Leather Products Institute, and the Chinese Leather Industry Association to once again organise the competition.
Well-known brands such as Boss, Mulberry, and Wolverine have judges on the panel, providing feedback to the winners of the competition for higher education students and recent graduates. Design submissions are accepted on the competition's website until midnight (GMT) on June 30.
