World Leather day 2024 announced
The campaign group Leather Naturally has announced that on April 26, 2024, the industry will celebrate World Leather Day to honour the qualities of leather.
This year's theme is "Repair, Reuse, Repurpose," emphasising the long-lasting and versatile qualities of leather that make it an ideal material for a circular society.
The focus on repairing, reusing, and repurposing leather items promotes environmental sustainability by reducing environmental impact, conserving natural resources, minimising waste generation, and bringing economic benefits to individuals, businesses, and communities.
Adopting these practices aligns with the principles of a circular economy, using resources more efficiently and minimizing waste.
