Former Stahl chief executive dies
Leather chemicals group Stahl has announced that a former chief executive, Frank Policky, has died. He was 80 years old.
Frank Policky took over as chief executive of Stahl at the start of 2004, following the retirement of his immediate predecessor, Willi Vaskovich. At that time, Mr Policky had already been with the company for 20 years.
He studied leather technology at the University of Leeds and worked as a tanner for 15 years before joining Stahl. At the leather chemicals company, he served first as applications manager in the finishing department before promotions to senior roles, including as European business manager for leather products and joint general manager.
He was chief executive until 2007, when Huub van Beijeren joined the company.
