Stahl celebrates formal opening of China Technical Centre
Leather chemicals group Stahl officially opened its new China Technical Centre at a ceremony at the end of January.
It said the new facility, in Foshan City in Guangdong province, would be one if its most advanced technological centres globally and said it would provide the company’s customers in China with “comprehensive technical support”.
Director of the leather business unit, Xavier Rafols, said the new centre would allow Stahl to offer more technical services to the market. He said he wanted to reaffirm the company’s commitment to the Chinese leather industry and to providing a high level of service to leather manufacturers there.
Chief executive, Maarten Heijbroek, said China was an essential part of Stahl’s growth strategy. He said the company would continue to invest in China and thanked the team the company has in place there for what he called “an outstanding performance during a period of intense transformation and diversification”.
