The 2024 edition of the India International Leather Fair (IILF) opened in Chennai on February 1. It will run until February 3.


The Council for Leather Exports (CLE) and the India Trade Promotions Organisation (ITPO) announced that this year's show was bigger and covered an area of 10,500 square metres. The event features around 400 domestic exhibiting companies showcasing a variety of products, machinery, and equipment. Additionally, over 60 overseas companies are exhibiting too. 

The 7th Designers Fair has been relocated to the exhibition halls, moving from its previous location at a nearby hotel, in hopes of attracting more visitors for the emerging artisanal leather talent. 

Starting slowly, the show's first day experienced a good turnout, with many exhibitors being relatively optimistic about the proceedings. Feelings were also running high that day two would be busier.
