Leather-focused students from a technical college in Vienna recently visited one of Austria’s biggest tanneries, the Wollsdorf Leather facility in the south of the country.

The school, SZU Ungargasse, offers a three-and-a-half-year leather design course as one of the options in its programme for high-school students who want to pursue a technical education.

On this occasion, 47 students and five members of the teaching staff travelled to Wollsdorf to see the leather manufacturing process close up.
