Zund establishes Brazilian subsidiary
Swiss machinery group Zund Systemtechnik has acquired BG Soluções Tecnológicas, a Brazilian tech firm founded 1981.
BG Soluções Tecnológicas has been an official sales and service partner of Zünd since 1990, and following the acquisition, will operate under the name Zund Brasil. Its headquarters will be relocated from Porto Alegre to São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil and the largest industrial hub in Latin America.
The new subsidiary will have a dedicated showroom to showcase Zünd's digital cutting technology to customers and interested parties. The subsidiary will be led by Cristiano Guerra, the second generation of BG's founder, and will have ten employees who are experts in consulting, training, installation, and service.
Oliver Zünd, the CEO of Zünd Systemtechnik, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, saying that it will allow the company to expand its business in Brazil and take advantage of the significant market potential. Zünd also believes that the acquisition will ensure that Brazilian customers continue to receive the best possible service in the long term.
