Eric Poles receives Star of Merit award
Eric Poles, the sales manager for Italian leather chemicals manufacturer Silvateam, has been awarded the Stella al Merito del Lavoro (Star of Merit for Labour) for his career at Silvateam, which spans almost 40 years.
Antonio Battaglia, the director of the company's leather business unit, said that the award was completely deserved by this hardworking, creative, innovative manager. Eric is a great teacher and motivator to his young colleagues and always an inspiration to all of us.
The Star of Merit for Labour is a decoration of the Italian Republic that continues the similar decoration established during the Kingdom of Italy. It is conferred by the President of the Republic on the proposal of the Minister of Labour to Italian citizens who are employees and distinguished by singular merits of expertise, industriousness, and good moral conduct.
The decoration carries the title of Master of Work.
