GSC publishes 2022 sustainability report
Italian leather chemicals group GSC has recently released its sustainability report for the year 2022. The report provides a detailed analysis of the company's operations and highlights its achievements from the previous year.
The report specifically mentions GSC's success in reducing emissions, with a 4.63% decrease compared to the previous year, partly due reduced production but also attributed to the use of renewable energy sources. The company produced 20.35% of its electricity from its photovoltaic system and identified its scope 1 and 2 emissions to be 1.454 tons of CO2 equivalent.
GSC, which serves 450 clients across 52 countries, generated €80 million in revenue from 1,900 products. Of the 28,500 tons of annual production, 90% were non-hazardous, prioritizing customer safety.
