Timex joins Leather Working Group
Global watch manufacturer Timex Group has announced its membership of the Leather Working Group.
A statement on the Timex social media said the aim was to incorporate leather watch components that are manufactured responsibly, working towards reducing carbon emissions and minimising waste whilst they continue to strive towards creating an environmentally conscious community, “We are committed to being a part of the change that will keep our planet ticking.”
Timex Group is a global company that designs, manufactures, and markets innovative timepieces and jewellery. Founded in 1854, the privately-held company has expanded to include several operating units and over 5,000 employees worldwide. As one of the largest watchmakers in the world, Timex Group comprises several companies, including the Timex Business Unit (Timex, Timex Ironman, Opex, Nautica); Timex Group Luxury Watches (Salvatore Ferragamo); Sequel (Guess, Gc); and Vertime (Versace, Versus).
