Iconic leather jackets go under the hammer

Two iconic leather jackets, once worn by music legends Michael Jackson  and George Michael, were sold at a recent Propstore entertainment auction in London, which featured over 200 pieces of music memorabilia.

The Michael Jackson jacket (pictured), famously worn by the late pop star in a 1984 Pepsi commercial, sold for  £250,000 ($300,000), surpassing its estimated value of £200,000 to £400,000.

Meanwhile, the George Michael La Rocka jacket, which he wore during his duet performance with American singer Aretha Franklin in "I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)", sold for £93,750, ($115,000) exceeding its original expected selling price of £30,000 to £60,000.

The auction was a four-day event, which saw music enthusiasts and collectors bidding on a range of rare and valuable items.
