SLTC secretary retires
Pat Potter has announced her official retirement from the role of membership secretary of the Society of Leather Technologists and Chemists (SLTC). She has served the society for 20 years.
A further announcement was made by the society on social media expressing that Pat would be sorely missed as she had been responsible for the smooth of the society and the annual conference and dinner dance for the last two decades.
Monika Kapuscik, a recent graduate from the Institute for Creative Leather Technologies (ICLT), will take up the role of membership secretary on November 1. Ms. Kapuscik was the president of the Corium Club, the association for alumni of Northampton University's ICLT and its predecessor colleges. She oversaw the centenary celebration of the association in 2022.
In her retirement announcement, Mrs. Potter expressed her sadness to leave but stated that she believes it's time to pass the job to someone else while she is still in a position to help to her successor.
