Customers’ wait-and-see attitude lowers Lectra revenues
Cutting technology provider Lectra as reported revenues of €358.3 million for the first nine months of 2023, down by 7% year on year.
Lectra said the uncertainty in the global economy that characterised the first nine months of the year had led many companies “to take a very cautious, wait-and-see attitude” to investments in technology.
Under these circumstances, it said customers were spending less on long-term investments, such as new equipment and perpetual software licences, but it said recurring contract revenues, including shorter-term software subscription orders, had increased.
