Qualus technology implemented in Latin America

Wyny, a Mexican leather manufacturer committed to sustainable development, has embarked on the Initial Scale-Up (ISU) process with UK based Qualus' technology. Following successful R&D tests earlier this year, the company has begun production scale trials to optimize the handling of Sferes for batches of up to 14 tonnes of hides per drum. By implementing Qualus' system, Wyny aims to reduce the amount of water, chemicals, and energy required for production, further minimizing its environmental impact.

In a similar vein, Brazil based Curtume Cobrasil, has also decided to use Qualus' Sfere technology, for retanning.  As a supplier to global brands such as Tory Burch, Coach, and Michael Kors, the tannery specializes in small skins and has a significant role to play in transitioning these brands to Net Zero. By incorporating Sferes into its production process, Cobrasil claims it will be able to significantly reduce its water, chemical, and energy usage, thus contributing to a sustainable future.
