Mike York elected as new co-chair of LHCA
During an annual meeting over October 12-13 in Chicago, Illinois, Mike York, plant manager of Tennessee Tanning, was elected as co-chair of the Leather and Hide Council of America (LHCA) board of directors.
In his statement, Mike York expressed his pleasure at assuming this leadership role in the association. He also emphasized the importance of LHCA in advancing leather as a sustainable material solution in various categories. He thanked the board for their confidence in his leadership and for sharing the collective vision of a vibrant future for the US hides, skins and leather industry.
Mike York will succeed outgoing co-chair Kerry Brozyna of Wolverine Worldwide and will serve alongside co-chair Chad Robertson of Harland M. Braun.
Outgoing co-chair Kerry Brozyna praised LHCA for spearheading several exciting developments and expressed his honour at passing the title to Mike York. As the association's new co-chairs, Chad and Mike will provide the experienced leadership necessary to meet the needs of the dynamic industry.
The board also elected Alexa Ryan of Cargill to the executive committee.
