Prime minister to open leathergoods exhibition

Bangladesh’s prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, will formally open the fourth Bangladesh Leathergoods International Soucing Show (BLISS). The show takes place in Dhaka from October 12-14.

The country’s Leathergoods and Footwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association (LFMEAB) said the event would showcase “the resilience and dependability” of Bangladesh as a sourcing destination for brands. 

EPB, the export promotion bureau, has said the leather industry the target of earning export revenues of $1.35 billion in the current financial year, which runs from July 2023 to June 2024.
