Falls for all categories in Pakistan’s leather exports
Pakistan’s leather industry registered a fall in export revenues during the first two months of the current financial year (July and August 2023).
Exports of finished leather, garments, leathergoods and footwear brought in $142.9 million over the two months, a decline of 14.5% compared to the same months last year.
The fall for finished leather was substantially higher at 36.9% in value year on year. The decline for leather garments and accessories was 8.3%, while for footwear there was a fall of 12.75% in value.
