Change in Asia leadership for Lectra
Leather-cutting technology provider Lectra has announced Frédéric Morel as company president for Asia. He replaces Edward Wang in the role.
Lectra said was preparing to present its latest technology to customers in China and other parts of Asia to help them “accelerate their transition to Industry 4.0”.
The technology provider has had a presence in Asia since 1985, when it opened its first office in Japan. Now 16% of its total workforce is in the region and sales in Asia accounted for 25% of group revenues in 2022.
Chief executive, Daniel Harari, explained that Frédéric Morel had more than 20 years’ experience in international business and had previously worked in the United Arab Emirates, Singapore and China. “His understanding of the challenges faced by a technology company like Lectra and his ability to support dynamic and sustainable business development are major assets for our group,” Mr Harari said.
