Sustainable Leather Forum takes place in Paris
The fifth edition of the Sustainable Leather Forum took place in Paris on September 11, offering keynote presentations and roundtable discussions on sustainability across the entire leather value chain.
President of France’s Conseil National du Cuir, Frank Boehly, said on welcoming more than 400 delegates that he was delighted to be able to bring industry professionals to Paris again to discuss developments that show how committed the leather sector is to environmental responsibility.
He explained that when the Sustainable Leather Forum launched in 2019, he would not have guessed that the event running for five years, but he said the “high levels of loyalty” that companies and individuals have displayed for the event and their desire to keep learning about advances in sustainability had made it possible to keep holding the conference.
“We believe in what we are doing,” he said. “This is an industry that is heading in a very positive direction.”
