Third Real Leather, Stay Different winner announced
The Real Leather, Stay Different student design competition recently held its third edition, culminating in a runway show and celebration where the winning design, "Gestation", was announced.
Pei Yan Kang, a student from Shih Chien University, won the top prize in the apparel category. His unique perspective on the bodily changes of pregnant women impressed the judges and earned him the opportunity to showcase his work at the London Fashion Week and the International Competition awards ceremony in Milan.
The Real Leather, Stay Different student design competition has gained recognition among students over the past three years, with winners receiving international acclaim. This year, the competition received 350 entries from 14 universities in Taiwan across three categories: apparel, accessories, and footwear. The Leather & Hide Council of America initiated the competition, and the Taiwanese International Leather Association provided free materials to participating students.
