The University of Northampton has awarded the title of associate professor in leather technology and sustainability to Andrew Ballantyne, focusing on leading and delivering teaching and research in the areas of leather technology, leather science and sustainability within the leather value chain.

Dr Ballantyne, who joined the Institute for Creative Leather Technology at the University of Northampton in 2017, said at the time of the announcement that there were so many areas of his work he found rewarding and that it was great to be giving back to a sector that was incredibly important as we transition to a more sustainable future.
