Deceptively simple-looking bag is Loewe’s star
Leathergoods brand Loewe has said a deceptively simple-looking handbag called Squeeze is the star product in its autumn-winter 2023-2024 collection.
It comes in two sizes, small and medium, with the former measuring 29 centimetres across at its widest point and the latter 34 centimetres. The small Squeeze is available in six colours and the medium version in four.
They have three colours in common, black, oak brown and olive green. In addition, the medium version is available in a claret colour, while the small bag’s extra colour options are chalk, chocolate brown and a bright blue that the Madrid-based brand calls Costa.
“This bag looks simple,” Loewe says, “but it is a masterpiece that is the fruit of artisan skills, research and design.”
It uses soft lamb nappa with no lining, which the brand has chosen for its lightweight and durability properties.
The bag’s strap is a chain of doughnut-shaped loops; Loewe says it has come up with “an ingenious system” to alter its length.
