US beef exports are well below last year’s record figures

The US Meat Export Federation (USMEF) has confirmed that beef exports this year are “well below the record pace established in 2022”.
Beef exports in the first half of 2023 reached just under 670,000 tonnes, a fall in volume of 10% year on year.
In terms of value, these shipments brought in export revenues of just under $5 billion, a decline of 19% compared to the first half of 2022.
