Higher export target for leather industry in Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau has set the country’s leather industry an export target of $1.35 billion for the new financial year (July 2023 to June 2024). This represents an increase of 8.8% compared to the previous year’s target.

Bangladesh has a longer-term aim of achieving export revenues of $12 billion from leather and leathergoods by 2030.
