Two leather sector companies were among a group of businesses in Arequipa that presented circular-economy ideas at a recent roadshow event in the Peruvian city.

Funding from national organisations, from Germany’s ministry for climate protection and from the German-Peruvian chamber of commerce has allowed a series of Circular Economy Roadshow events to take place.

At the Arequipa event in mid-July, leather chemicals developer Skin Leather and leather manufacturer Curtiembre Austral gave presentations on circular-economy initiatives that they have already put in place.
