TFL and Novozymes reaffirm partnership
Leather chemicals group TFL Ledertechnik GmbH and global biotechnology company Novozymes A/S, have reaffirmed their strategic partnership by signing exclusive agreements for continued cooperation on existing enzyme solutions and joint innovations for the leather industry.
The companies said that Novozymes expertise in enzyme technology research was complemented by TFL’s long standing global expertise in leather process development and as a result of the joint venture, the development of the Peltec X-Zyme product range technology “can significantly reduce the levels of chemicals, including hazardous chemicals, to an extent that has not previously been possible with traditional solutions”.
Novozyme originally partnered with Lanxess in 2012 followed by further agreements. The leather business was spun off into TFL in June 2021.
