Dedicated water management team at Faeda
Veneto-based leather manufacturer Faeda has established a dedicated water management team to help it establish responsible water use on all of its production lines. It has described this move as “a tangible response to the need to preserve our most precious resource, water”.
Its water management team will monitor water consumption, line by line, and check for waste or abnormal consumption. Faeda said its aim is to do everything it can to avoid overconsumption of water to make its leather a more sustainable and environmentally friendly product.
The new team will also monitor the company’s efforts to reuse water in some of its operations and to treat and return water it cannot reuse to the environment.
“At Faeda, every drop counts,” it said, “and we are committed to making a difference because water is life, and its preservation is everyone’s responsibility.”
It made this announcement ahead of publishing its first sustainability report, which comes out in September.
