New York Times executive is new chair of Buckman board

The chief human resources officer of The New York Times, Jacqueline Welch, is the new chair of the board of directors of leather chemicals group Buckman. Ms Welch (pictured) joined the Buckman board in 2020.

She took up her position at The New York Times in 2021 after a long career at financial services company Freddie Mac. Earlier in her professional life, she also worked at Turner Broadcasting System.

Buckman’s chief executive, Junai Maharaj, commented: “We are very pleased with the evolving leadership of our board. Jacqueline brings unique skill sets and perspectives from her experience in retail, consulting and human resources as well as a strong commitment to building a strong, skilled board focused on the sustainable, continued success of Buckman.”
