Grupo Minuano shows resilience after flooding
A cyclone that hit southern Brazil caused major flooding to the region and left the Minuano tannery at Lindolfo Collor un-operational due to several feet of flood water.
In social media posts showing the devastating images of the flooded tannery and images taken after a swift clean up, the tannery group said: “ We thank all employees, suppliers and partners who are supporting us. We have a strong and prepared team. We continue to be stronger, united, with great dedication and confidence that everything will be well as soon as possible”.
Prior to the event, work had been temporarily ceased due to the incoming storm with advice that everyone stay at home and stay safe.
The cyclone caused strong winds and torrential rain, causing damage in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, and the capital Porto Alegre.
