AstraZeneca to cut carbon emissions with help from cows
Pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca plans to cut its carbon emissions by using biogas produced from cow manure and food waste in its US research and manufacturing sites, according to a report on Reuters.

Manure from three farms will be combined with food waste and piped into AstraZeneca's gas grid.

Pascal Soriot, CEO of AstraZeneca, said: "Doing the right thing costs a little bit more, but it is not punitive.”

The group aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 98% by 2026 from a 2015 baseline.
