Kyiv leather laboratory upgrade complete
A project to renovate a leather educational scientific laboratory at Kyiv National University is complete. Leather chemicals group Royal Smit & Zoon provided support for the project.
Work to renovate the laboratory began before the war between Russia and Ukraine and was nearly complete when financial constraints that the war provoked made finalising the project difficult.
Something that was outstanding was to equip the laboratory with furniture and, for this, the university reached out to Royal Smit & Zoon. The Dutch company responded positively owing to its good relationship with the university and with the tanneries in the region that work with it.
The renovated laboratory is now open for students to work in. Smit & Zoon said it was glad to have been able to help and to contribute to leather education in Ukraine.
