Olivenleder surpasses USDA certification requirements

Reutlingen-based Wet-green GmbH has announced the successful BioPreferred certification for its tanning agent Wet-green OBE 1, used for Olivenleder, with a score of 100%.

Under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) platform, BioPreferred certification is awarded to products, in the category of “Intermediates for textile processing materials”, where a minimum 22% of the product comes from a renewable source, such as plant, animal, marine, or forestry feedstocks.

Announcing the results on social media, Wet-Green GmbH added: “We wear this seal with pride. It stands for more transparency in the leather industry”
