Slower global growth prompts revised outlook from Lectra
Cutting technology and design software provider Lectra has reported revenues of €123.7 million for the first three months of 2023, up by 1.4% compared to the same period last year.
The company said its results had been affected by slower global growth, persistent inflation, and rising interest rates. It added that the first quarter of 2023 had been marked by “a wait-and-see attitude” on the part of customers around the world with regard to their investment decisions.
“This situation is reflected in a sharp slowdown in new system orders,” it said.
At the beginning of this year, the group set itself the objective of achieving full-year revenues of between €522 and €576 million euros for 2023. It has now revised this prediction to a range between €485 and €525 million.
